The 2011 National Household Survey (NHS) is a voluntary survey that replaces the long form census before the 2011 census edition. The NHS was implemented during cycle 2011 Census, and responses to the questionnaire were collected in spring and summer 2011. About 4.5 million households received the NHS questionnaire. The Global non-response rate (GNR) is 26,1% for Canada, 22,4% for the province of Quebec. When the TGN exceeds 50%, Statistics Canada removes data from its standard tables.

Geography products of the NHS are the same as the geography products of the 2011 census, and GNR is indicated in the tables for each geographic region.
